Uber and Lyft are not available in Bali, the island has its own form of ride share called Grab. We used this form of transportation a lot, it's direct, reliable, and cheap! Please be aware that some areas do not allow you to be picked up from certain locations. Also be aware if you are dropped off in a more remote area you may not be able to get a Grab back!

Boutique, picturesque eateries will entice any palate catering to vegans and meat lovers alike! You'll find more western styled food compared to local Balinese cuisine, yet the essence of local Balinese cuisine is never too far away. Canggu offers almost unlimited options when it comes to picking where to eat but here are a few of my favorite restaurants!

Kicking off with breakfast, Copenhagen is a must-visit cafe that delights with its endless coffee selections, freshly baked bread, and a charming atmosphere, setting the perfect tone to start the day!

Shady Shack is an incredible spot for vegan and gluten free options. It's a great place to get a smoothie bowl, veggie wraps, or a tasty meatless burger. Even though most all the dishes on the menu are vegan, the menu is fun and super yummy!

Eat at Penny Lane! A posh venue for exciting cocktails and good eats. This restaurant has an outstanding atmosphere that screams take a picture!

Only a 20 minute drive north from Canggu is Tanah Lot Temple! The entrance fee is 60,000 IDR ($4 USD) per person and you are not required to wear a sarong. Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali's best known and most photographed temples so it's safe to assume there will be a crowd, especially at sunset. Be prepared to walk around and explore!

We came across a path going upwards and found ourselves away from the crowds on a beautiful lanai with sea views! We were greeted by a friendly waitress who offered us Bin Tang beer. If you continue along the path it brings you to a gorgeous viewpoint overlooking a black sand beach.

Don't miss out on Batu Bolong Temple just a short walk away from Tanah Lot. This small Hindu temple sits on top of a rock peninsula that juts out to sea and is connected to land by a natural bridge!

Travelers Tip: Grab vehicles are not allowed to pick up from Tanah Lot. Cabs are readily available to take you to your next destination.
